Positions which may be available include the following:

Project Manager – NJ and/or Superfund Experience Required (Princeton, NJ Office)
Progressive, fast-paced, growing environmental consulting firm has an immediate opening in our Princeton, NJ office for a Project Manager with 8 – 12 years’ experience in site investigation and remediation at commercial / industrial properties in New Jersey and/or through EPA Superfund. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized and have experience in managing and analyzing large databases of information.

The position offers a mix of office and field work. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with junior and senior level staff on projects of varying sizes/complexity. Primary responsibilities will include technical research, data compilation and management and allocation analysis for contaminated sites with multiple responsible parties. The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient at preparing and presenting technical presentations to senior staff, clients, and external counsel. Experience with developing/preparing technical reports and supporting graphics, as well as experience with GIS is highly desired.

Other responsibilities include developing work scopes and cost estimates, implementing, directing and overseeing soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations, data management and evaluation, and technical report writing. Projects range from Phase I ESAs / Preliminary Assessments to complex Remedial Investigations/Remedial Actions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledgeable and proficient in NJDEP statutes and regulations (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS and TRSR), associated technical guidance documents, regulatory timeframes, documentation/reporting requirements, and SRP regulatory forms;
  • Experience with:
    • Management of large databases of information in MS Excel and Access, and experience with Equis is desired;
    • EPA Superfund Process, specifically proficiency in reviewing documents regarding complex contaminated sites and summarizing site conditions, discharge pathways, contaminants of concerns and preparation of detailed conceptual site models;
    • Inorganic and Organic chemistry / fate and transport of contaminants as they apply to past discharges of wastes and the investigation/remediation contaminated Sites. Successful completion of two semesters of inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry preferred.
    • Data visualization/graphical illustration software;
  • Strong emphasis on excellent technical writing skills – clear and concise presentation of complex information;
  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal communication skills; 
  • Conscientious, dedicated, hard-working, committed to excellence and exceptional client service.  
  • An MS degree (or higher) with multi-disciplinary technical background and interest in continued cross-training is preferred.
  • A professional license such as P.G., P.E., and/or LSRP, or the academic qualifications and commitment to obtain such licensure is a plus.

Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist – Project Manager (Princeton, NJ Office)- NJ Experience Required.  Progressive, fast-paced, growing environmental consulting firm has an immediate opening in our Princeton, NJ office for a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist - Project Manager with 8 – 12 years’ experience in site investigation and remediation at commercial / industrial properties in New Jersey. Demonstrated expertise in contaminant hydrogeology / plume delineation and ground water remediation in overburden and fractured bedrock aquifers in New Jersey required.

The position offers a mix of office and field work. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with junior and senior level staff on projects of varying sizes/complexity. Responsibilities include developing work scopes and cost estimates, implementing soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations, data management and evaluation, and technical report writing. Projects range from Phase I ESAs / Preliminary Assessments and UST removals/remediation, to complex RI’s involving hydrogeologic characterization/aquifer analysis (slug and pumping test design, implementation, interpretation; oversight interpretation of borehole geophysical testing and interpretation of results; vertical profiling/fracture characterization; packer testing, etc.). Experience with designing, permitting and field implementation of in-situ injection remediation projects, and evaluating/interpreting the results and preparing technical reports and supporting graphics highly desired.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Proficient with NJDEP statutes and regulations (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS and TRSR), associated technical guidance documents, regulatory timeframes, documentation/reporting requirements, and SRP regulatory filing forms;

Familiarity with:

  • hydrogeologic characterization in overburden and bedrock geologic environments, interpretation and presentation of results;
  • design and implementation of aquifer hydraulic tests (slug tests, pumping tests), data management and interpretation;
  • borehole geophysics, packer tests, tracer tests, and interpretation of results;
  • ground water flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling (e.g., Modflow, MT3D, etc.);
  • design and implementation of in-situ remediation technologies (e.g. chemical oxidation and bioremediation, surfactant-enhanced recovery, etc.);
  • visualization/graphical illustration software;

Knowledge of/experience with PADEP Act 2 and USEPA CERCLA/RCRA/TSCA a plus;

Strong emphasis on excellent technical writing skills – clear and concise presentation of complex information;

Highly organized with excellent interpersonal communication skills;

Conscientious, dedicated, hard-working, committed to excellence and exceptional client service.

An MS degree with multi-disciplinary technical background and interest in continued cross-training is preferred.

Project Manager – (Geologist/Hydrogeologist Preferred) (Holicong, PA office) - Immediate opening for a Project Manager (Geologist/Hydrogeologist) with 5 - 10 years’ experience in site investigation and remediation. Experience working under both Federal (CERCLA, RCRA) and State regulatory programs preferred. Experience with contaminant fate and transport assessments and delineation / remediation in bedrock aquifers a plus. The position offers a mix of field and office work. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with junior and senior level staff on projects of varying sizes/complexity. Responsibilities will include implementing soil and groundwater investigations, data analysis and presentation, report preparation, developing work scopes and cost estimates, and other duties as assigned. Projects range from Remedial Investigations, evaluation of remedial alternatives, and implementation / optimization of remedial action technologies. There are opportunities for increased responsibilities and advancement with proven track record. The successful candidate should have the following skills/experience:

Familiarity with:

  • hydrogeologic characterization in overburden and bedrock geologic environments, hydrostratigraphic evaluations, interpretation and presentation of results,
  • aquifer hydraulic testing (slug tests, pumping tests) in overburden and bedrock,
  • borehole geophysics, packer test, tracer tests,
  • quantitative data analysis including fundamental statistics and graphical presentations,
  • ground water flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling (e.g., Modflow, MT3D, etc.), and
  • implementation of in-situ remediation technologies (e.g. chemical oxidation and bioremediation, surfactant-enhanced recovery, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in a related field, with multi-disciplinary technical background and interest in continued cross-training is required,
  • A professional license such as P.G., CGWP, or P.E., and/or LSRP, or the academic qualifications and commitment to obtain such licensure is also a plus,
  • Proficient in implementing remedial investigations, feasibility studies/remedial alternatives analysis, and oversight of remedial design and remedial actions at USEPA CERCLA/RCRA sites required,
  • Experienced with State regulatory programs, especially New Jersey and Pennsylvania,

PROJECT MANAGER (Geologist/Hydrogeologist) (Princeton, NJ Office) - Immediate opening for a Project Manager (Geologist/Hydrogeologist) with 5-8 years' experience in hydrogeologic/environmental investigation and remediation.  Candidates must be highly organized with excellent communication and technical writing skills, and in-depth knowledge of NJDEP regulations and technical guidance documents.  There are opportunities for increased responsibilities and advancement with proven track record.  Demonstrated leadership in the management of multi-media remediation projects involving PA/SI, RI and RA phases required.  MS degree with multi-disciplinary technical background and interest in continued cross-training preferred.  P.G., CGWP, or P.E., and ability to ultimately obtain LSRP license, a plus.  The successful candidate should be experienced in:

  • knowledge of current NJ regulations (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS, TRSR) and associated guidance documents,
  • knowledge of PA and USEPA environmental regulations,
  • hydrogeologic reconnaissance, characterization and interpretation,
  • aquifer hydraulic testing/interpretation,
